MouseKey Recorder is certainly the first software in this article to make my list since it presents you with one of the easiest and very useful solutions to record a macro automatically. A macro is essentially a series of automated processes which are recorded and then reproduce themselves automatically at the click of a button. This is incredibly useful as it means you don't have to sit down every time you want to record a macro, you can do so whilst in the middle of a game. This means you can take your computer with you wherever you go and still be recording macros. In addition, this application comes free with Windows as well.
The main issue I have had with this application is that it requires some knowledge of windows programming in order to be effective. Although it does not require such knowledge, it is highly recommended as otherwise you could find yourself wasting your time whilst recording a macro. You also need to be aware that MouseKey Recorder can only record from Windows vista and newer. If you use an older version of Windows, the software will not work at all. Although, there are a number of other similar applications available, MouseKey Recorder does allow for a lot more functionality and is much easier to use than many of the alternatives out there.
The software also allows for task recording, which is basically just like recording your computer's activities, just on a different interface. You can record any actions your mouse recorder will perform on your system. These actions can include controlling multiple windows or desktop items, launching applications, navigating through folders, controlling multiple online locations, and a variety of other tasks. The main problem I have had with task recording is that the process takes ages, but with mouse recorder software you can do this whilst your computer is being used, so you have a constant stream of activities to play back. Although, the best part of MouseKey Recorder has been the money saving feature, as it allows me to free up my time to focus on more important things.
